Congratulations to our 2018 Lucidpress scholarship winner!

This is our second year hosting the Lucidpress scholarship program, and we received even more incredible submissions this time around. We asked students to show us how they #thinkvisually by answering one of three prompts: Using one of our free flyer templates, describe an accomplishment, event, interest or talent that has played a large role in making you the person you are today. The lessons we learn from failure can inspire success down the road. Using one of our free brochure templates, recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback or failure. How did this experience affect you, and what did you learn from it? Using one of our free poster templates, describe a topic, idea or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more? Related: Congratulations to our 2017 Lucidpress scholarship winner! Students used Lucidpress templates to create their own visual designs to answer one of the prompts. It was amazing to see what each participant submitted, and it was so hard to narrow down a list of finalists. After reviewing the submissions as a team, we voted to choose our winner. So, without further ado... Congratulations to our 2018 Lucidpress Scholarship winner, Alani M. of Wheaton College! Answering prompt #2, Alani created an innovative brochure design that told the story of how she failed a dance audition. She used the situation to motivate herself to practice dance, and eventually, she won a part in another musical. We loved Alani's use of color and design to tell her story in a dynamic and interesting way. A huge thanks to Alani and all of our participants who showed us how they #thinkvisually—we can't wait to see what you create next.
